What I liked

Fantastic team work and communication. I visited A&E, the operating theatre, Intensive Care and two different wards. The transitions were seamless. When I had any concerns about the various treatments, drips, injections, pills or procedures, my questions were not dismissed, but investigated and explained. The high standards of care in every area facilitated my speedy return home.

What could be improved

I don’t think there is anything that can be done about it and it didn’t affect me, but things do go more slowly over the weekend and some ladies on my ward were waiting for decisions regarding their treatment. I am very impatient and if that had been me I would have found the uncertainty quite stressful. Everything was quickly sorted out on the Monday morning.
