"24 hours on ward C21 after A&E"

About: New Cross Hospital

I was admitted on the evening of Saturday 11th April with a chest infection with pneumonia. All the doctors and nurses who looked after me were so kind and helpful and made my stay as pleasant as possible. I have never stayed in hospital overnight so was quite scared but one nurse in particular who was working the night shift was especially lovely. They were there for me all night, put me at ease and was able to answer all my questions. They were very kind to me and even found me something to eat in the middle of the night when I was feeling sick. I felt well looked after by the doctors and all other nurses who were on the ward and the catering and cleaning staff were also very lovely. When I first went into A&E I was looked after by a very nice doctor who was very helpful and explained to me what was happening. They made me feel a little less anxious and made me feel I was in good hands when I was very nervous about being in hospital.
