"Ward J49 . A massive Thank you from Len (computer..."

I was kidnapped screaming and kicking at 8pm one night after being in pinderfields for 3 week already because of chest infection, coughing blood, phumonia, no oxygen in blood and shortness of breath . . . I did not want to leave my local area to go to St James where nobody would be able to visit much at all and probably no body i'd know from wakefield. I've not been in hospital or taken anything more than pain killers for nearly 30 year or more and so being admitted to hospital for weeks on my firts 999 call was scary . But being shipped to Leeds was even more scary. (that soon changed though) From first being wheeled to my bed (8) on J49 on the 17th March at aprox 9pm. the first nurse was very kind and pleasant and did try to talk me down from being worried to be there . . I just needed a little alone time at the bed to settle my head in and then all began to sink in... But from that time on.. All of the Ward staff from Pro to domestic where the most helpful that I could have imagined . I've so many bad things about hospitals .. But I can honestly say the staff on J49 took very good care of my stay from the 17th march right up to the 10th april 2015. There are ups and downs with everything but I have nothing at all bad to say about staffing on J49. . I had one inncident with a nasty patient that was very quickly sorted and cannot thank those two night staff for caring. It turned out that once My chest and others were cleared up at Pinderfields that they then found a rare type of (Vasculitis) Kidney infection that is not making move either way yet with the Meds. (takes time for results). I sat many days thinking about it and that it was going to be there the rest of my life and for me it was a scary feeling I kept to myself really . I never once from being in pinderfields 22nd Feb to the time in St James (10th april) . asked or pestered Docs about going home and if they asked me.. I always replied with.. please make me better and dont send me home until then.. thankyou. I had to stay in leeds for long enough for 10 sessions of plasma exchange on alternate days and then able to be discharged to attend clinics. I did get a little giddy on my last day (session) and could not wait to leave for home.. I had been in hospital since Feb 22nd and was ready for home.. I do apologise for being a little abrupt at the time of discharge with my doctor because they were starting to sound like it could be another night in with the way they were talking.. but told them all my transport and people had been arranged and come teatime.. i would be gone.. Soz doc.. you done great and really big thankyou. . I did leave rather sharpish and un able to say many thanks . . I do apologise J49 staff. it was nothing that you did.. It was my time to go...
