About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Sadly I visited this hospital as I had an MS relapse, it was my first one. I was seen by a trainee/ registrar and they didn't ask me enough standard neurological questions. So I deteriorated and I returned to outpatients as I was unwell cognitively. I was turned away and not directed to A&E. I left a message for the registrar, they got the message but never bothered to find out why I returned to hospital. I returned home and had a very very severe 12 month relapse. I am too unwell to work. I wish I had demaned to see a consultant or gone to A&E after both appoitments. I have complained to this hospital and also the Parlimentary Obudsman. Unless you can be seen by a consultant or are very familiar with your illness I would not recommend this hospital. I returned to see a second registrar and again I was not asked enough standard questions. The registrar wrote no medical examination notes! so I was turned down for DLA.
