"Ecxellent care"

About: St James's University Hospital

I attended the Surgical Assessment Ward at St James's late afternoon of March 13th. I was given a warm welcome at reception, the nurse who assessed me, was caring, patient and explained all that would take place. The member of staff who did my ECG was most pleasant, as was the radiographer. The Doctors from the Gastro Enteric Team who took over my care were also very pleasant, caring and spent time explaining the procedures, then discussed in full my results and what treatment I required. I was reassured by everyone's help and care, and I would never hesitate to attend this unit again.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us regarding your attendance at St James’s Surgical Assessment Unit, It is very gratifying to read your words of support and encouragement.

I have passed your comments on to the Head of nursing and the Matron for the Surgical Assessment Unit who will be exceptionally pleased to know that their staff are delivering a level of care that met your expectations.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write to us.

With kind regards
