"Access to medical team and time spent in waiting..."

About: Broomfield Hospital

My wife had an urgent referral from her gp, but he was advised entry to broomfield under these circumstances must go through A&E. We arrived at 19:00 and finally had completed tests and action plan at 03:00. Time with the nurses and doctors was high quality, but in total we were in the waiting room for approximately 7 hours. I would suggest the chairs in the waiting room are not fit for this amount of waiting.. They are a very odd design and not comfortable or supportive.

I apologise that you found the seating to be uncomfortable. We are currently reviewing the seating in the A&E waiting room and appreciate your feedback.
