"staff are unhappy, overworked"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I visited a&e which was very busy, due to my condition I needed the toilet urgently, as it was so busy I locked the door as you do, the pain was so bad I nearly collapsed so I rang the emergency bell, a nurse came and had a go at me for locking the door and said "what a dumb thing to do" which I felt was very rude, they then walked off asking me to follow them, they showed me to another room where they asked a few cursory questions, my mother was trying to make polite conversation but the nurse just complained about their day and long hours, again in an aggressive tone, they obviously hates their job and it shows which is a shame as they are overworked but as a patient I don't want to be and in hospital no more than their doesn't want to be at their job but not a lot we can do I guess. Whilst in KM I heard so many of the staff complaining about working in the hospital, swearing and generally being unhappy and pushed to the limit again, sadly it shows in the level of care to the patients. When I saw a Dr, each 1 had diffent opinons and disagreed with each other, my medication which was helping no end was stopped abruptly and I was made to feel awful. At night things got worse, dementia patients allowed to run around, 2 male patients came in to my room whilst I was asleep, waking me up and then a woman screaming and trying to get into my bed! A nurse came along and shooed them away but the whole experience was upsetting. If you ring your bell no one answers it, nor the alarms on the drip stand, so many issues to be honest. Such a shame that the staff are obviously so unhappy and overworked I hope their working conditions improve soon
