"the care given from the external ..."

About: St Michael's Hospital (Bristol)

(as the patient),

What I liked

the care given from the external midwives, the food, the care towards my newborn from the external midwives and the trainee midwives.

What could be improved

the way visitors are treated, my fiancee was made to go out of the ward to use the toilet! the toilets were very unclean and this was reported several times during my 6 days in hospital. the way the surgeon treated me during labour was very disrespectful.

Anything else?

the professionals in the hospital were unaware of my low lying placenta throughout my pregnancy, even after numerous scans and so i ended up with a 39 hour labour before an emergency c section which then resulted in a blood transfusion and a distressed baby!! the after care was non existent!
