"Amazing service"

About: Trafford General Hospital

Struggling with sudden onset of acute joint pain I visited the Urgent Care Centre last Friday. They started me on medication and said they would refer me to see the Rheumatologist urgently. Over the weekend my condition worsened, the GP prescribed more pain relief and suggested I chase up the Rheumatologist referral. This is when I met the Rheumatology and appointment booking secretaries. They both were fantastic as was the consultant, the result was that I was seen by the consultant one day after the referral arrived in the Rheumatology Department. Amazing. All the Clinic staff were extremely kind and helpful without exception. The treatment I received means I am starting to feel so much better already. Working as a clinician in the NHS myself at another Trust I know what pressure staff are often under but the people I have met at Trafford during this experience are proof that with great people and team work fantastic results are possible. Thank you so much all of you

Thank you for your comments posted on the NHS Choices / Patient Opinion website regarding the care you received from the Rheumatology Department of the Trafford General Hospital.

It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects their hard work and dedication. It was reassuring to know that you were referred to the Rheumatology Department as an urgent case and was seen immediately. We are pleased to hear that the staff were kind and helpful whilst you were under their care.

We can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to the Rheumatology Department manager and the staff involved.
