What I liked
I have been a patient here for 35 years and have always received fantastic treatment from all the staff. As soon as you walk through the door you realise that you are in a very special place that thoroughly understands your disease.The way this hospital listens to you is rare, and you feel that the staff are working with (rather than on) you to control your problems. There is the feel of a united approach, with all the different specialties pulling together. Brilliant!
What could be improved
Reading the medical charity magazines, I know a lot of research was done here in the past and hope fervently that new research will not be sidelined in today's financial squeezing. I read in the press that there is a possible merger with the RUH on the way. I can understand the reasons for this but PLEASE keep the site! It is so much a part of the therapies here and much valued by patients. Develop but don't change.
