"still to come..."

About: Solihull Hospital

Being treated under maxillofacial deptartment have been waiting 17 months since being referred here and will finally get my op on the 10th april (about time) way past the 18 weeks i was told. I came to an appointment on 02.04.15 sat waiting for an xray for for 2 hours and when i finally got it done the nurses attitude stunk they told me to stop being stupid and bite the stick ready for the xray of my mouth i told them this was difficult as my top teeth/jaw have moved and now overhang over my bottom jaw so its impossible for me to bite my front teeth together on the stick the nurse just huffed and puffed around and could barely understand what they were saying as their english was awful. After having the xray i was then told there is a problem with all of my mollers and they think i will also need these removed as well as the wisdom teeth i was originally referred about. I am only 22 and dont want 10 teeth removed so i got upset the dentist then said sorry i am harsh (no sympathy at all) and its basically my fault as i have a high sugar diet i told them i have cut down and have been following their instructions to drink through straws and certain foods to eat etc and dont see how in the space of 2 months of my last xray this has happened. I am basically being fobbed off that its my fault but over the last 17 months i have had a minimum of 5 xrays and yet they never told me untill 8 days before my operation there is a problem. Im sick of being in pain and very annoyed at waiting so long there is now other problems. If they do decide to remove my mollers it is about £2000 per tooth to get replaced so i will be facing a big bill very unhappy. As i work in private health care myself i find this treatment discusting and i know if i treated any of my clients the way the NHS do i would loose my job and be struck off by CQC quicker than light but yet the NHS can gey away with it. I know the nhs is stretched but by not adressing problems sooner it becomes more costly as a whole for the patient the nhs and society as a whole. One unhappy patient. Also maxillofacial dept not listed to publish review so put under general surgery if they cant list the departments correctly on the website what chance do we have at propper treatment?
