"poor nursing"

About: Derriford Hospital

After hernia op I experienced massive swelling as the fluid didn't drain properly. The nurses didn't follow the surgeons instructions and I was left to care for myself. When I was due to leave the hospital I was told by a nurse to wait for a doctor, I waited over two hours. When I enquired as to when a doctor would be visiting the ward I was informed by the same nurse that the doctor had already been and I could have left the ward 1 1/2 hours earlier. I removed the drain tubes and cleaned myself up and left. I still have internal bruises which are quite painful but not life frettening I am assured by this hospital
