I was admitted to Hospital via A&E. I was first in intensive care, then in CCU and finally on Bluebell B ward. In all I was an inpatient for 2 weeks. I was hugely impressed by the overall care I received especially having read poor press reports on the hospital. Apart from my not having a single room I found the care and standards at least as good as those in private hospitals. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and were constantly checking up on all 4 of us in the room. They ensured the more ill clients had a wash every day and sat and fed them if food was not eaten. We were monitored by doctors daily and often more frequently. If this is the level of service throughout the hospital I will have to reconsider why I am paying a fortune for private insurance? K. Padamsee
