Today I took my 92 year old mother to the Pilgrim hospital to have a heart monitor fitted. Within 3 hours I was contacted by my mother stating the monitor had shut down with the message low battery. Spent two hours trying to contact some one from the dept only to be told they'd all gone off on holiday. Mother gets extremely stressed visiting this hospital, due to a previous badly organised visit. Why wasn't the monitor checked before it was fitted. Why is there no one available when there are problems. This hospital hasn't improved one iota from mother's previous visit.
