"Superb professional expertise"

About: Kingston Hospital

I was sent by my GP to the eye unit A&E, and although a long wait, it was comfortable. The nurse taking baseline information (after a half hour) was friendly and competent. The doctor saw me after a total wait of 2.5 hours (which the receptionist had let me know). The doctor was extremely efficient and gentle, and identified the cause of the problem quickly on examination. They were able to remove the offending irritant, explaining everything respectfully and clearly as they went along. I felt I was in good hands I could trust. Many thanks for attending to my painful eye, I am very grateful. Just be prepared for a long wait, but it is worth waiting. Also, patients are seen in order of urgency rather than entry, so bear this in mind.
