"Outpatient consultation with elderly care..."

My very good neighbour who is in her 80s and suffers from Parkinson's had a follow up outpatient appointment with the Consultant. She is usually very able to stand up for herself but on this occasion the consultant was, sharp, contemptuous and with a lack of compassion worthy of the most uncaring of individuals. My neighbour was left feeling upset and angry, her sel esteem shot yo pieces and she felt very low for several days following this episode. She felt unable to complain as even talking about it more than a week after was clearly upsetting. I have mostly found the PRU excellent bar one or two exceptions. This incident only highlight the unprofessional conduct of a doctor who should feel privileged to hold the position they have. I shall be making sure I accompany my neighbour at her next appointment as her advocate.
