Gave birth to my baby in March-I must say all the staff I have met during my stay in Homerton were fantastic, supportive and pleasant. All the midwives in delivery unit and obstetricians involved were the most helpful!~Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Postnatal ward -all midwives always introduced themselves after the shift change. They were curious and did their job brilliantly.During my stay I noticed some patients behaving as if they were in a hotel-I was shocked and felt sorry for some of the staff that had to to deal with some ridiculous demands. If you go to the hospital-prepare yourself. You might give birth any time of the day or night so obviously you should take some food/drink with you! NICU unit-where my baby had to stay for 10 days -that's NHS at it's best! Also much appreciated breastfeeding support-which I didn't get back in 2009-good improvement.
"delivery team,postnatal ward and NICU-fantastic!"
