"Chickenpox diagnosis"

On Sat after speaking to 111 service we was advised to go to urgent care centre for 8: 15pm appointment.

This was for my 10month old son who had come out with spots. We arrived in good time and knew be a wait as was busy, we was seen at around 9: 30pm which obviously is annoying but understandable if so short staffed! ! ! We was seen by a Dr, we advised him of my sons condition temp n spots etc and he said was just a virus that was going around and spots like that are a result of virus and if was chicken pox would be out in one go. Made us feel quite silly for wasting time at an over busy dept. he also said be fine for him to continue going nursery. One of main reasons we went was due to a friend who we was going to see on Sunday who is pregnant, however after the Dr said defo not chicken pox or meningitis etc it would be fine to go.

Sunday symptoms got worse and we called a family friend who has children and she thought was chicken pox, Monday we called our local gp and they advised to go pharmacy as they would be able to tell if was or not. As you can prob tell now my son has got chicken pox! Which was confirmed by pharmacy and they also said chicken pox doesn't always come out in one go like the Dr had said and this is quite a silly mistake for a Dr to say and make! I would like this to be looked into further as we have been in contact with few mothers who are expecting and we would not of done so if was not informed by this so called Dr,
