What I liked

The care and consideration shown to me by all members of staff irrespective of rank.

I have always believed that Hospital food was of a "poor standard" to say the least. How wrong could I have been. No complaints at all.

Although the Nurses and Health Care Assistants were kept very busy be it the Day Shift or Night Shift, the patient's bells where answered as soon as possible and as far as I was concerned, nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them.

What could be improved

Being on a Trauma Ward is not the most restful of places. Nothing to do with the staff, but with the patients - all having differnent needs, different levels of pain etc. I just wonder if it would be possible to give patients the oppurtuinity to wear eye shades at night, to keep out light and possibly ear plugs, to out the inevitable noise.

Anything else?

All in all I was very impressed with the care given to me. Oh yes, on a matter of hygiene, ALL the staff did everything they could do to keep hygiene levels to a very safe level.
