"Op and stay on Phoenix ward for my 14 yr old..."

My 14 yr old daughter was referred to Phoenix ward by GP after experiencing abdo pain, within minutes of arriving she was made comfortable in an assessment bay and booked in, she was seen shortly after by surgeons and had her already burst appendix removed and cleaned out later that night. Unfortunately a day later one of her lungs collapsed and she had to be put on an optiflow machine and had a stay of 7 nights in total. I cannot thank the surgeons, Drs, physiotherapists and nurses enough for their expertise and care. I was able to stay with my daughter for the whole of her stay and the facilities available to the parents and children are outstanding. I would also like to thank the kind and friendly catering and cleaning staff and the porters we encountered during our stay, everyone we met was so nice and put me and my daughter at ease during a difficult time.
