"My Pacemaker fitting"

About: Dorset County Hospital

Last Tuesday(24th March) a doctor fitted a pacemaker to my left shoulder with which I have no trouble at all. The day after the op I went home with everything good. Over night my left elbow swelled up and I was in excruciating pain not being able to move the arm much. I stuck it out until I could not sleep (Friday night (27/3)) so I went up to A&E in DCH at 0700 Saturday morning (28/3) where I saw a couple of nurses, a doctor (?) and the registrar. All these four people were absolutely fantastic, working on and sorting out my problem for 3 hours. I cannot rate them highly enough (about 12 out of 10!) and my treatment is still going on with an Echo scan programmed for this very afternoon in the X-ray dept.
