Been waiting for an appointment which was booked in Jan for April the 2nd and then they cancel my appointment without saying sorry and just reschedule it for 14th May ......I have been going through hell for over a year and I finally thought I may be getting to the bottom of my problems and they go and cancel the appointment due to "Unforeseen circumstances". I call PAL'S up and they tell me that the they only have two Endocrinology specialists and if one of them just decides they want a holiday, then they don't have any cover and everyone has to be bumped.....oh but it's okay as long as they see me within 18 weeks which is a target set to them by the government..... It must be so lovely to have private healthcare and get seen straight away whilst us working class people pay your wages!!!!

Thank you for contacting the Trust with your concern. The Endocrinology team sincerely apologise that your appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. Decisions to cancel a patient's appointment is not one that is taken lightly but, unfortunately, due to exceptional circumstances within the department it has been necessary to cancel and move some appointments.
