I had a one night stay following a laproscopy this week. I've never been in hospital or under anaesthetic before and I was terrified. I was lucky to have my op, only 3 out of 17 got there ops on Wednesday because there were no beds. The staff were all wonderful, kind, caring and nothing was too much trouble. The surgeon and aneasthatist were especially kind. From the moment a bed came available to the time I was in surgery was just 15 minutes, so no time to worry! The staff on the ward were also wonderful. They worked so hard but always cheerfully. I was ready to go home at 9am but the discharge papers and pharmacy had a massive delay. I was only waiting for paracetamol so at 3pm they said I could go and they would send me the papers. Being in hospitals as not a scary experience and I always felt well looked after and cared for. Thank you.
