About: The Great Western Hospital

I was in a and e from 9 am to 4pm. seen very quickly to start with. then saw a doctor who clearly hadnt read all notes. that said the doctor got to grips with issue quickly and was very good. rushed off their feet though. of more concern was the older lady who was very publicy asked to confirm her details and that she lives alone and then by a nurse standing at the end of her bed shouting to a colleague that they needs a commode. no privacy at all . half dressed patients left without curtain around. nurses standing in the middle of corridors between beds discussing dates, dinners and how ' crap' certain doctors are and many of them chewing gum. eventually after an mri and a near two hour wait, twice being told I needed to go to a ward, I was then seen by the same exhausted doctor who told me I could go home and an appointment would be sent to me. overall lacking in professionalism and lack of working together
