"Emergency tummy operation"

I went into Barnet on Saturday, 14 March with severe tummy pains, To cut a long story short I had an emergency operation for a twisted bowel. Although in a lot of pain I was impressed with the transition from A&E, through tests to the operating theatre within a comparatively short space of time. Recuperated on Cedar Ward, and have nothing but praise for the doctors, nurses and support staff. In particular the patience ,care and compassion shown to all patients in the ward was remarkable. It was the first time I had spent any significant period in a hospital. You hear so many negative things about the NHS and without exception I have nothing but praise for the medical care I received in Barnet hospital.
