"A&E and fracture & trauma department"

Going to A&E on 1st March with severe pain in my shoulder I was very quickly seen and an x Ray taken. The doctor in charge that day was unclear about what the x Ray was showing so referred me to the fracture and trauma clinic on 5th. I saw a doctor at the fracture clinic who was immediately very concerned and tried to get an MRI that day. They were quite clear that I had a tumour and it needed investigation Asap. I had the MRI on 7th and the subsequent visit to the fracture clinic on 12th March when I saw a different doctor who confirmed the diagnosis of a tumour. I immediately had blood tests a further x Ray of my chest and the doctor said they would refer me to Oxford as they were unsure what type of tumour it was. They also said they would be arranging a CAT scan which I had on 24th and today I have again seen the doctor who was able to reassure me that there do not appear to be any other tumours and my blood tests have no 'nasty' results. I was very impressed and obviously pleased that the CAT scan results were available today only two days after the actual scan. I really feel that the treatment I have received - yet again at Milton Keynes hospital has been second to none. My treatment has now been handed over to Oxford where I go on Monday 30th to see another doctor to whom I was referred to, who considers that this tumour is of a very rare nature.
