"The question of access for disabled patients needs to be addressed"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire

(as the patient),

Queens Road Consulting Rooms, Donnington

As a tetraplegic (spinal injuries patient) since January 2014 there was some difficulty carrying out the full tests but a considerate + caring approach by all staff was most important.

As suspicions of glaucoma had been detected the fast response was psychologically important. But the question of access for wheelchairs patients unable to transfer, needs to be addressed – as does the question of providing transport.

It is critical all tests and examinations are able to be carried out and the disabled are not discriminated against.
