About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Just appalled by the TRAQS service, what is the point of an extra layer of administration, not to mention the extra phone calls and duplicated letters from TRAQS and the hospital?

Total waste of NHS money.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with the TRAQS team.

I am disappointed to read your negative comments and would like to assure you that the TRAQS team work very hard to ensure that patients are seen in the right place first time.

TRAQS was established in June 2012 at the request of the local GP's to ensure that all patients registered with a Telford and Wrekin GP is offered a Choice of Provider in line with the NHS Patient Charter.

TRAQs – what does it do?

TRAQS is a service for people in Telford and Wrekin allowing patients to be seen in the right place, first time. If a GP decides to refer a patient for an appointment or treatment, TRAQS will contact the patient to help get this arranged. This is done through a central point of contact using local call centre staff who have local knowledge of the area and transport options.
