My daughter attended the urgent care centre to be verbally abused by the doctor who attended to her. Firstly to my horror she was asked whether she paid contributions to the national health service, then she was told that the nhs was not there for her beck and call each time she is ill. They went on to say that she is clearly fit & healthy as to the size of her, shouted at her to breathe properly, shoved the instrument into her ear and when she said that hurt, they pushed it in further, smirked and huffed. They shouted at her because she had antibiotics for a chest infection a few weeks before and she could not remember the exact date. Told her she doesn't look the type to drink water and not to drink alcohol and fizzy drinks, then continued to tell her that she should boil up the bones of the chicken and that she should do the same and drink it! Then asked what do you want me to do? On leaving they told her that she was going to give her something to dissolve in water - then gave her an antibiotic. With all respect the doctor is there to fulfill care to the community and not to judge whether a person pays for nhs or not. I am absolutely disgusted with the way she was treated by this doctor who is supposed to be a professional person. Every public service is busy and has had cuts made but you do not have the right to treat people in this way.
"An extremely unproffesional service"
