"Attending the hospice has enhanced my life beyond words"

About: John Eastwood Hospice (inpatient)

(as a service user),

Although I was very unsure of coming to the hospice it’s one of the best things I have done. I cannot praise all the staff enough, not only the workers but all the volunteers for making me feel so welcome. I feel very supported and any issues I have are dealt with to their fullest capability.

Just to mention a few of the activities available – card making, cooking/baking, scarf making and one of my favourites which is water colour painting.

Attending the hospice has enhanced my life beyond words can express, as soon as I walk in that door my mood lifts and I feel alive again, I miss not going and it would be fantastic to come back, I would love to come more than once a week but I understand this would not be possible.

The team at the hospice work together to ensure everyone who enters our service gets the most they can and hopefully gives something that can be drawn on when you are not within the building. I will share your kind words with the team.
