"Ignore constant phonecalls!"

As a next of kin to my relative who was admitted yesterday i am still waiting to hear from the hospital to be told he is there as I was told would happen! I have phoned constantly on several numbers but no one even bothers to answer the phone! After reading the bad reviews on here and the communication problem i am already experiencing this already does not give me much faith In this hospital! Please just answer the phone!

Thank you for highlighting this issue and I am very sorry if you haven’t been able to get through to the telephone numbers you have tried. While our staff are often busy working with patients we do endevour to ensure that calls are answered and wonder which numbers you have been trying. It is also correct to say that when patients are admitted under a section of the mental health act then the next of kin should be informed of this and I am unsure why this hasn’t happened and would be pleased to look into this. Could I ask that you call the Patient Experiecne team on 01622 722133, or email patientexperience@kmpt.nhs.uk, so that we can look into these particular circumstances.
