I stayed in ward 16B at Stoke Mandeville this month. I came to the ward after surgery and was left for at least 2 hours before anyone bothered to come and do my obs!
I was left on a bed pan twice throughout the night by nurses who couldn't be bothered to wait outside my bay, I then had to disturb other patients by pressing the call button to ask them to remove - at which point it was a different nurse who was unaware I'd been left.
They seemed very under staffed and the beds on the ward were in great demand. The ward was dirty, particularly the toilets. A horrible experience! Shame on you Stoke Mandeville.
