"No compassion"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

My sister has been in here waiting for an operation that she has waited for the last 12 months. After paying for a consultation for a scan she was asked to come into the hospital for the operation. She was all gowned up and by dinner time she was told the operation wouldn't go ahead. It was to be 2 days later. OK it could have been an emergency. The next time was two days later this didn't happen either. Two days later she was visited by the anestatist and gowned up again. She is still waiting. Her husband is waiting for a heart operation and is suffering with all the stress as is all the family. Visiting every day driving 50 miles every day. Seemingly the surgeon is going away and someone else could be doing the operation. Who knows. They told my sister this but not the Sister on the ward who told her the operation was going ahead when it wasnt. This is disgusting treatment obviously because she isn't paying for the operation she doesn't have priority. Payed into the system for years why for this treatment????
