"Ophthalmology outpatients"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

My father frequently attended the ophthalmology outpatients department for over 2 years in order to have injections into his eye. The department always appeared to be efficient and well run and dad was always seen within a few minutes of us arriving there. The nursing staff were wonderful and managed to strike the perfect balance of treating dad with respect but being very friendly and kind towards him, which meant a lot to both dad and to me. They always seemed to be pleased to see him and interested in how he was getting on. I also found that the administrative staff were very helpful when I was having to rearrange appointment times. Both my father and myself were very impressed by the department.
