My son was admitted to the Royal Gwent with hip pain and was very frightened as he had never been to hospital before.
The whole experience was excellent right from the A&E department through to the outpatients follow up appointment.
The triage nurse in A&E was very kind & friendly (Joanne) & she really helped put my son at ease. The other A&E nurses who took blood from my son were also very professional & lovely.
The orthopedic doctors were very good, I could honestly not fault them. Also the staff nurses on D6 East were fantastic, my son was not looking forward to staying the night but soon felt at ease.
I also wanted to say that the ward was extremely clean, I could of eaten my dinner off the floor! ! Amazing.
"Excellent care for frightened son"
