"Diabetes Centre Useless"

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

I see my practice nurse for day to day control of my blood sugar and blood pressure but see the staff nurse and consultants at Dewsbury as well. l know that I can be a bit of a pain but I don't expect to be lied to by a consultant. I asked how many patients with type 2 diabetes on insulin managed to loose weight and was told 50 to 60% a total lie. I have discharged myself and will work with my GP instead. Sick to death of being told that being fat is the problem Iam overweight but quite fit and active. I rake regular exercise ski cycle and walk. I can lift 175kgs.
