"Excellent service from hantsdoc, G2 and surgeons"

Many thanks to the amazing people working in hantsdoc, G2 (children's ward) and the surgeons (and theatre team) who were working on the evening of 1st March 2015. When my 14 year old complained of abdo pain on this sunday night, I was unsure if he was really poorly or was trying to get out of school the following day (!). However, from the skillfull examination by the Dr in hantsdoc, apendicitis was suspected, and we were swiftly referred to G2 and Lee was assessed by the surgeon who decided to operate that night (shortly after midnight). The caring nurse assigned to the teenage boys that night was amazing at ensuring that Lee and I were kept well informed, while remaining reassuring. The care given the following day until discharge was again excellent. Lee is recovering well and actually looking forward to going back to school on Monday!! I would highly recommend the services of these teams, and my only regret is that I failed to remember anyones name who looked after Lee in order to thank them personally!
