The word that is repeated in a lot of reviews is friendly and they certainly were. I spent 3 days last year in Carlisle general hospital and the nurses were neither friendly nor to be seen. When you pressed the button to call them they turned up ten minutes later with a look that said how dare you interrupt my bingo game. Evening meal one night was a cornish pasty and a blob of mushy peas. Noisy awful place. Absolute opposite at St Albans , great customer care, I spent £17000 for the same back injection as I received here at the Spires private hospital Bushey what a waste of money. The only difference I could discern is the Spires has deep piled carpets and Laura Ashley wallpaper. The nurses should be congratulated, the people who supervise the nurses should be congratulated and the people who train the nurses should be congratulated.
