"absolute disgrace"

About: Colchester General Hospital

My sister in law went to her appointment yesterday to find it had been cancelled again have you not received the cancellation they said ... now would somebody who is feeling very ill travel there if they knew it had been cancelled" I dont think so" We will send you new appointment. She has had tests this year in the hospital and still hasn't got the results, she's lost so much weight and her tummy is so swollen. Her treatment has been disgusting and quite honestly lets hope by the time she get appointment there might be a chance she could have treatment of some sort if not too late. From a very disgruntled ex NHS worker I worked for 20+ years in cancer services and would never have allowed this sort of thing to go on.

I apologise your sister in law has not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss her experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “Comment at 13/03/2015 22:49:36”, please? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
