"2 Years of Frustration and Distress"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

My mother-in-law has COPD and has been admitted to St Peters hospital on several occasions over the past two years. From my experience there is an appalling lack of communication between the hospital staff and social services. As her main carer it is almost impossible to get information on her condition and the hospital has, on several occasions, discharged my mother when she was quite obviously in no fit state to be sent home. Yet again tonight she has been discharged when she is in no fit state to be left on her own and to add insult to injury we have found that the hospital have left a cannula in her arm. We are now going to have to wait for the district nurse to come out to remove it. This is totally unacceptable.
