"Walking Away from Diabetes course"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Diabetes service

(as the patient),

I was invited to go on this course as a the result of an annual medical review. It was suggested that there could be a risk of developing diabetes.

The course, for a small group of people, with two presenters provided lots of printed information, much discussion and scope for individual questions.

A particular focus was the benefit of walking and there was guidance in setting realistic targets. A pedometer was provided free of charge.

The session was extremely beneficial and proved me with informed reasons for changes in lifestyle that were likely to benefit future health.

The presentation was lively and engaging with all the group participating.
