Having broken my ankle earlier this year i received excellent care from the emergency services, A&E and the fracture clinic. However after only 4 weeks in plaster I was discharged with no follow up or plan to regain good function in my ankle. Surely some physiotherapy would have been in order to prevent loss of function and future expense for the health service. After 6 weeks of private physio I am back to 70% function. Did i slip through the net or do all fractures get treated this way?
"Initial care excellent, follow up is non existent"
