"Looked after my father who collapsed"

About: Southampton General Hospital

My father collapsed while out at a church meeting on Sat 7 March. He was brought to A and A but had a memory problem and could not remember my surname or any other information. He was given a scan and kept in overnight. The next day he remembered more information and I was contacted by a doctor who updated me on his condition. All the Staff were excellent in helping him in his confused state and all showed great compassion for his wellbeing.

We were very sorry to read about your father's collapse and memory problems. Thank you for taking the time to feedback your comments about the compassion shown and care he received in the Emergency Department and during his overnight stay. We wish him well and trust that he is making a full recovery. Please be assured that your kind comments will be shared with the Emergency Department staff.
