I am one of leaders at our Youth Club (usually involed with the craft side) but this week I joined in the dodge ball game. On running forward to throw the ball I fell forward spread eagle along the carpet, had carpet burn and on getting up I went and sat down. Then just a few minutes later I felt everything was spinning round so was given a set outside in the fresh air and then was vomiting about 10 or more times and bringing up blood.
A nurse friend was called and I was laid in the recovery position (I was unable to stand up and so was carried back into the hall). The other leaders phoned the emergency services and a paramedic (? Helen) who was very helpful and she arranged for an ambulance (as apparently my heartbeat was irregular) which I think came from Wiltshire. Phil and Howard were wonderful and caring. They couldn't have been more understanding. Absolutely lovely and they took me to the Royal United Hopsital in Bath where Luke, a nurse, was so caring and helpful. The doctor was so reassuring and pleasant, so willing to answer any questions or concerns I had.
I was just so overwhelmed by the kindness shown to me and I thank the Lord for His peace throughout. I was allowed home after a few hours.
