We called out a paramedic when my Mother, 92, was having breathing difficulties. It was around 10. 30 in the evening and the ambulance was with us within minutes. The paramedic, Patrick, stayed for a couple of hours giving my Mother a nebulizer and carrying out a number of checks to make sure he did not miss anything in her care.
He was excellent, taking his time and reassuring both my Mother and me that we were not an imposition. He understood completely that we wanted to avoid going to hospital and spent a bit longer with us to make sure my Mother’s breathing was stabilized before he left.
"He was excellent, taking his time and reassuring both my mother and me"
