I had a triple coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) at Bristol Royal Infirmary 2 years ago.
Whilst I cannot fault the surgery and the overall nursing care, I did feel that everyone was overworked and it was rather a production line. Probably because the unit serves such a large area.
Due to bed availability, I was rather shunted around before the operation, but post op, and lucky enough to recover quickly, the progress from ITU to discharge was swift.
