I just wanted to say thank you very much to all of the doctors, nurses and other staff who looked after and cared for me so well when I was admitted quite urgently to have my appendix removed in February 2015. All of the staff, both on the wards and throughout my operation, were very kind and explained everything that was going to happen to me, and helped me with pain relief and recovery afterwards. I am really happy with how all of the staff treated me and am glad to have my appendix out! Thank you all so much for your kindness and help. James Priestley x

It is always wonderful to receive positive comments from patients and is a real morale boost for our staff. Communicating with our patients and keeping them fully involved and informed in their care is very important, and so we are pleased that you felt all aspects of your treatment were explained to you. We have passed your thanks and lovely comments on to the team involved in your care.
