"Care received at the Ophthalmology Dept. at..."

About: Russells Hall Hospital

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and staff working in the Ophthalmology Department where I received excellent care during the first couple of weeks in February 2015 for an eye abrasion. I was in real pain when I visited the Department and could not look at any light. One of the nurses immediately offered me a dark room where I could wait for my appointment as it would be easier on my eye, which I was really grateful for. Throughout my trips to visit the Ophthalmology Department I was always treated with the utmost care and dignity by all of the nurses and staff, who always had a smile and a kind word for you no matter how busy they were, (and they were always working extremely hard). The care I received from all staff was really excellent, and my eye started to feel better within a week and is now fully recovered. I would highly recommend this Department to others should you need care and treatment for your eyes. Thank you all very much for your care and help and keep smiling!

Thank you for your positive feedback and five star rating about our Ophthalmology Team. We pride ourselves on always offering our patients the highest standards of care, so it is wonderful to hear that you were so pleased with the service you received during your visits. It is very important to us that our patients feel relaxed during their visit to us, and it is good to know that our staff helped to make you feel comfortable following your eye abrasion. We have passed your comments onto the team in Ophthalmology and would like to wish you all the best for the future.
