"Excellent treatment once again."

About: Harrogate District Hospital

Having received excellent treatment in the Cardiac and Endoscopy departments, I was not disappointed with Haematology. The referral period of, I think, 5 weeks for a non urgent consultation was very acceptable. The receptionist was pleasant. The Sir George Ogden Macmillan Centre was like a 5* hotel in terms of the waiting area. I only had to wait a few minutes before I saw the specialist. Both she and the nurse were very helpful and put my mind at rest with regard to the possible treatment I may have to undergo. To be given a choice for the time of the next consultation was a surprise. Once again, I had free parking! I wish people would stop criticising the NHS. Perhaps it is because they cannot use Harrogate District Hospital!

Thank you for taking the trouble to contact us and for your kind comments. We are very proud of our new Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre, which was built thanks to the generosity of Sir Robert and Macmillan Cancer Support, along with £2 million of investment from ourselves. However, we know that none of our services would operate well if it were not for the dedication of our staff and I am delighted that you found the quality of care provided to you to be of a high standard. I will ensure that your views are passed onto the team. Thanks you again for taking the trouble to leave your feedback. Chris Watt Head of Communications Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
