"Outstanding care throughout!"

As part of the National Bowel Screening Programme I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer almost five years ago. From my first appointment with the Colorectal Team through to surgery and chemotherapy, the care and treatment I have experienced is second to none. All the Colorectal Team, from the surgeon to all his various Registrars over the years and through to the Clinical Nurse Specialists all have always taken time and care to ensure I understood the diagnosis and any treatment I was undergoing. I still attend follow-up Out Patient appointments in both the Colorectal Department and Oncology and even though I am almost five years since diagnosis I feel the care I am given is as caring as my first encounter with the Colorectal Team. I owe them all my life.
